One photo and “J” stories voting reminder

Some might have noticed (most won’t) I’ve been absent from the blog (and from reading blogs I subscribe to). ‘Been busy with other stuff, I have. I hope that I’ll be able to catch up on what I missed, but I give you fair warning . . . I might not.

Depending on how much I missed and when I’ll get back to my normal routine (hopefully later this week), I might just start reading going forward.

For them who might worry something’s wrong . . . nope! Just busy, is all.

Anyway here’s a quick reminder to — if so inclined — please read the “J” stories that went up early last week. After, the writers hope you’ll make the effort and vote for your favorite of the “Alphabet Challenge J-Stories” HERE.

That post has links to the individual stories and the poll where readers can click a box to cast a vote for their favorite. And, after voting, readers can spread the news about the story to friends and family. Maybe, or maybe not. But, we hope for maybe.

And now, here’s the photo . . . I happened to look at the gargoyle guarding our patio, and dang it if I didn’t catch him eating the potted plant.

Honest, I didn’t know I was supposed to feed it.

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

Note: if you are not reading this blog post at, know that it’s copied without permission, and likely is being used by someone with nefarious intentions, like attracting you to a malware-infested website.  Could be they also torture small mammals.

If you’re new to this blog, it might be a good idea to read the FAQ page. If you’re considering subscribing to this blog, it’s definitively a good idea to read both the About page and the FAQ page.

One would think that being “locked in” under present circumstances, that we would have more time to write and comment, but it is not true. Glad you came out today.

We do. . . but also to take care of other stuff.

For me, just a combination of things happening around the same time. I’ll survive to write, post photos, and be a general nuisance once again.

      Thanks for commenting.

The gargoyle froze in his tracks when he saw you coming! Hopefully, he got a good bite after you left.

A gargoyle and his gargoyle wife whose relationship spanned the centuries, slowed to the time of stone, might make for a fun story. Hope you and yours are well.

  4. I noticed and missed you and then I went missing myself.

I bet that gargoyle is a great gargoyle-guard AND eats a LOT! I was just thinking he could eat all the annoying-door-bell-ringers…but they aren’t ringing the doorbells these days here.

PS…I was AWOL, but like The Terminator, ” I’ll be bach!” and now, I’m back. I explained in a blog I just now blogged. :-)
