These were taken on April 8, before I photographed the eclipse.
I snapped many good images but pared them down to 22, all action shots. Because of it, very few words in this post.
Some of these are the best I’ve ever taken of the respective birds.
We begin with the Blue Jays above and below.
Blue Jay and Grackle.
I really like this shot of a Red-winged Blackbird.
A couple of Cardinals . . .
A house Finch.
A rare instance of me capturing a Brown Thrasher on the move.
This next sequence is what I was referring to when I said “the best” for the respective birds.
It’s a small gallery with 22 images.
The SmugMug Gallery is HERE, and the slideshow is linked below.
That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

These are some of your best bird shot, E. The first Blue Jay and Grackle.is outstanding as are the Cards. Really fine work!

Thank you, Ken.
I personally like the last image, of the Robin landing, but, really, I was happy with all of these, especially since they are all from the same day in one session outside.

Thank you, Carolyn.
They are amazing to watch in person, but I definitely see more once I process the images.

These photos merit top honors!!! And you, dear brother, . . . do, too . . . for being . . . THE photographer!
Make sure you pause at the “. . .” for best effect.

Again, thank you, AnnMarie.
I was pleased with these, but the credit goes to the birds, the camera, software … I was just lucky to be around to capture the birds and had the good sense to learn how to use the camera and the software.
Really, anyone in the right place with the right tools and the time to learn them could have done it.

There was no way that Mr. Anyone could have been seated where you were seated to take these photos in the company of these exact birds!!! Sorry, but logic dictates that at that time you were the one and only Mr. Anyone. These other Anyones were all in an alternate universe.
