I am taking April off from Disperser Tracks, from reading blogs, from Facebook, from Twitter, and from the Internet in general. I plan to return (virtually) live on May 1st.
Meanwhile, I scheduled a few posts (like this one) to go live during April . . . like a blog heartbeat of sorts.
I should mention, I am not monitoring comments. I will eventually read them in May, but if anyone has a question, the best bet is to send me an e-mail.

It was the middle of 2009 . . . we heard from a friend they would be in Santa Fe; a mere five hours drive, we decided to go see what’s what. You can read about the trip HERE (with the usual plethora of photos and brilliant commentary).
If you enjoyed the above photos perhaps you would also enjoy the associated post (linked above). If not, if this will sate your photo appetite, good for you. Moderation is the key, even if it involves missing out on wonderful stuff.
That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

Please, if you are considering bestowing me recognition beyond commenting below, refrain from doing so. I will decline blogger-to-blogger awards. I appreciate the intent behind it, but I prefer a comment thanking me for turning you away from a life of crime, religion, or making you a better person in some other way. That would mean something to me.

I was actually in Santa Fe, NM on 8/19/65 – a very small community back then not yet ready for tourist prime time. It was probably more important as a neighbor of Las Alamos. 04.026 8-19-65 T-61 Santa Fe, NM_edited-1.jpg (I doubt this image will translate to this comment, but…whatever!) But I enjoyed your modern day view, and more than that, the road and landscape along your trip. Love the Rio Grande bridge. Reminds me a little of the Great Gorge bridge not far from where you live. Excellent photos!
I have relatives in Albuquerque, so we often make a yearly trip to NM. (Been there and through there a million times!) I LOVE Santa Fe…the landscape, the arts, the food, the music, the architecture, the Summer rain storms and much more!
HUGS!!! 🙂

Ha! 😛 Great reference! I’ve taken a left at Albuquerque AND a right at Albuquerque!
I quote Bugs often…one of my favorites is when he says, “What a maroon!” 😀

It was almost a shock to my system to see people in your photos! And with that came the revelation that one of the great reasons I enjoy your posts so much is the absence of people. Though not bad, per se, their presence would introduce an unwelcomed energy.
