The “L” Stories voting could use a bit more participation, and that’s what the writers are hoping for the coming week.

If you lead a blissful life, you probably need to temper said life with a bit of a bother, like reading three stories by unknowns. You can find links to the stories and the poll for voting for “Alphabet Challenge L-Stories” HERE.<<<Link

. . . as usual, the final variant of a subject is when I go all artsy on them (I use Topaz Labs plugins for all these).

I’m in a hurry, so I’m just dumping a gallery below and forego all my usual witty banter.

The “L” Stories voting had a momentary swell of activity (three votes) before falling back to dormant status.

I’d like to think it’s because of my promoting efforts, but I think it’s friends of the twins who account for most of the activity (note to self: get some friends of my own . . . but not too many).

If your life feels devoid of meaning and purpose and you want to spice it up, you can find links to the stories and the poll for voting for “Alphabet Challenge L-Stories” HERE.<<<Link

Not saying reading these stories and voting will improve your life, but stranger things have happened, so I’d say it’s worth a shot.

. . . for them who don’t know, once I post a set of photos, I’m likely to post variants (see previous posts). In this case, I again decided to go monochromatic. Specifically, on the photos of the clematis seed head.

Wait . . . why two versions of the same photo?

Note: There is no SmugMug Gallery associated with this post. Also, as usual, WordPress is not doing what I want it to do. It creates a tiled mosaic arrangement for the galleries even when I choose the two-columns large thumbnails option.

One of these years, BAMM! . . . I’m out of here. Plus, they’re now threatening yet another editor update. Anyone care to make a bet as to whether it will be an “improvement” or a disaster?

So, this is the first post composed and assembled entirely on my new laptop and using photos processed using said laptop.

Why am I mentioning this?

Because as part of setting up the laptop for photo editing, I also purchased a ColorMunki Display by x-rite. I could have bought their Smile colorimeter version (less expensive) but — after reading various reviews — opted for the Display model.

I have a much older version of their hardware that I’ve been using for many years but it’s no longer supported so they don’t guarantee the drivers they provide. Plus, it’s not where I can get my hands on it.

“New Color” – Note 8 Photo

My last post was all about videos . . . as much as I want to get into the motion pictures business (lots of money in motion pictures), practicality and lack of any videography know-how will likely have me stick to still-photos, at least until I’m discovered by Hollywood. Yes, that’s gonna be a long time, I tell you what!

This post will meander a bit in both topics and offerings. For instance, here’s a photo from last week . . .

All of the photos in this post are from the same two days as when I shot the videos in the previous post.
