Title Writing Prompt Challenge — the winning title

The voting ended today at Noon, and here are the results:

As described in THIS post, we, the writers, will each write a story using that title.

Some might wonder what the heck is a ‘metaphysician’ . . .

. . . well, metaphysics is “The branch of philosophy that examines the nature of reality, including the relationship between mind and matter, substance and attribute, possibility and actuality.” A metaphysician is either a student or an expert in metaphysics. Many maintain metaphysics is, at its core, bullish …er… bull droppings. I tend to think so, especially when it morphs into religion . . . it should make for an interesting three stories.

Upon conferring with my fellow writers, we decided the deadline for submitting a story would be three weekends (The Twins both work). Meaning, we should have our stories finished by March 12th. They will then be published and readers will be asked to vote for their favorite.

Once again, I have no photos prepared for this post, so, I’ll just link photos from SmugMug.

That’s a photo of a sunset as seen from our house from when we lived in Colorado. The photo was mirrored to provide the illusion of two eyes, nose, and mouth looking down at us mere mortals.

Another awesome sunset from our deck in Monument, Colorado, and, next, another . . .

We might get similar sunsets here, but unless I go to where I have an open view of the horizon and sky, I’m likely to miss them. I mean, I suppose I could go to the refuge every evening and hope for a spectacular sunset, but who has that kind of time?

That was from our one and only Caribbean cruise. The cruise was OK, but the sunsets were spectacular.

Sunsets over the Front Range (shot from my house) still rank way up there as far as plain amazing. (Note: this is a panorama.)

And not just from my house . . . often, on the way home from work, I would stop along County Line Road and take in the expanse of the sky painted by the already set Sun.

Well, the sun has set, and it’s time to put this puppy to bed (and I’ll follow shortly after since I have an early appointment in the morning).

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.
