Warning: the Block Editor is still a pain to work with and can cause stress levels to spikes. Use with caution. Avoid if possible.
That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

Why put yourself through the pain of the Block Editor while the Classic still works well enough?

I had issues with the Classic and FireFox. Plus, some of the formatting stuff (spacing between photos) is now not to my liking and it’s difficult to control (the photos butt up against each other whereas I prefer a bit of separation).
But, to be clear, I’d use the classic editor in a jiffy if it were truly available.
By that I mean that I have formatted templates I use to save me time, and I can no longer edit/copy them in the Classic Editor.
Choosing the template and clicking on “Edit” brings up the Classic Editor Block, not the Classic Editor.
So, yes, I can use the Classic Editor if I want to create a new post, but that means that I then have to copy stuff from other posts and re-format it to my liking, and that takes time and is also a pain.
The Classic Editor Block kind of works, but has its own issues.
Also, I’ve worked out most of the quirks so that I can deal with the block editor. I mean, I still think it sucks, but nothing right now works the way that I want.

Thanks, AnnMarie. Lots of wisdom there, as usual . . . one of the jokes might be dated (Windows 95!) but it should get a chuckle from people my age.

Thanks, Carolyn . . . and I’ve given that same advice. That I know of, no one followed it.

I still follow Dilbert, the voice of reason.
He’s an Engineer.

Dilbert, maybe . . . but Scott Adams lost any respect I might have had for the man (but, since I didn’t personally know him, it wasn’t much to begin with).

I followed both Adams and Dilbert a few years ago on twitter but rarely see his personal posts in my feed for some algorismic reason, so I don’t know much about him.
So did he do anything in particular to offend?

Well, I’m not offended . . . I just don’t have any respect for the man . . . In fact, I don’t respect anyone who supports and defends Trump.
I mean, I don’t hate the man, but I listened to one podcast with him, and he’s either a troll (purposefully being outrageous to evoke a response) or severely cognitively compromised (given his cartoons, I lean toward ‘troll’, along the lines of Trump, who, apparently, he admires).
. . . did you click on the link? Because that’s another reason to not respect the guy. Stoking emotions is not an admirable trait.
Note: I still find his cartoons funny . . . but, respect? No. Not even close.

What a stupid inflammatory Trumpist statement to make.
Anyone professing admiration for Trump definitely sets my eyeballs rolling.
