Just a quick reminder that the voting for the SDS Challenge Guttony Stories will close a week from today.
If you are new to the SDS Challenge, a little background.
Three writers will each write one story a month going down the list of deadly sins. The stories can be anywhere from 666 words to 6,666 words in length, although those numbers are not set in stone. If ambitious, the writers will provide accompanying graphics. These stories will not be anonymous because some writers may want to use the same characters for each story and write a series — or book — encompassing all seven sins. Finally, interpretation of the titular sin is up to the writer. Meaning, each ‘sin’ can take multiple forms.
Disclaimer: The writing challenge has no restrictions and the stories will likely span a wide gamut of genres. The majority of the stories fall in the PG-rating range with a few perhaps pushing into the soft R-rating. Some readers might find a few of the stories disturbing because of the topics, language, and/or plot points, and if so, stop reading and move on.

If you want to read the Seven Deadly Sins submissions for the Sin of Gluttony, and then vote, your gateway is THIS POST <<link. There, you’ll find links to each of the three stories and a poll for you to vote after you finish them (if you be so moved).
With one week left, we sit at 18 votes cast. The number of views for each story ranges from 18 to 28
Meaning, most of the people who viewed (and presumably, read) the stories, voted. Percentage-wise, that’s a high number compared to the previous challenges.
But, is it really? It’s a little bothersome that the stories don’t all have the same number of views. I don’t know what to make of it other than some people only read one or two of the stories. I say “may” because the lowest number of views matches the number of votes. It could be only 18 people read the stories and they all voted.
“Where are you going with this?”
Nowhere; just padding the post so that the content looks ‘fuller’ and more ‘substantial”.
Here is where I link something in case readers are bored and want to look at something else. Well, this short story <<link is a favorite of mine.
. . . Yeah, I know. No time to read stuff. How about a photo?
I’m dating myself with them things.
Hey! . . . here’s a post that requires less almost no time to read (LINK). Literally, seconds.
Looking at those, I realize all my clothes have boring buttons.
Want to see some of the other Still Life shots I took? Well, then click on this (LINK).
Just recently I read a post in a blog I follow and, in it, it sported an impressive vista with just as impressive cloud formations.
That’s one other thing I miss from living in Colorado . . . these kinds of views:
I mean, they might be here as well (in Illinois), but since I don’t have an unobstructed view of the sky, I don’t see much of it when I look out the window.
But, make no mistake . . . even when out driving, I rarely (and I mean, at no time that I remember) see anything like the above.
Nor do I see bovines like this:
Hey, how about a video I reconnected with recently? In case the link gets lost, it’s called “One Minute Time Machine” and you should be able to find it on YouTube. I mention this because many videos I linked in previous posts now go to dead links.
Anyway, here it is . . . by the way, this is what I call “smart humor”. I mean, yes, it’s clever, but also smart.
OK, I think this post is long enough so as to lose all but two readers. Time to wrap this up.
Here’s a small gallery of the above photos along with artsified versions of them. As usual, you can find the full-size version on SmugMug HERE<<link.

Anyway, if at all interested in reading three tales about gluttony, you now know where to find them (and where to vote for the one you like best or hate least . . . you be got about two weeks left).
That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.
