One reason we left Colorado were the fires. We experienced two major fires (Waldo Canyon and Black Forest).
This is a photo of a sunrise, but we’ve seen photos of fires that looked very much like this.
Seeing photos and videos of fires out West, or tornadoes in the Midwest, and now seeing photos of flooding in Europe and China, fill us with a sense of awe, but no matter how graphic the video and clear the photos, they are still but an abstract; we can’t really “feel” what it’s like living through something life-changing — and hope we never do.
