Jokes of the Week Redux — Nos. 1, 2, 3

Note the title has changed to reflect the actual JotWs being published.

I’m kind of busy doing stuff, so here are my first “Jokes of the Week”, something I had started in 1995. I composed them in Corel Word Perfect, using scans of actual clippings from the Sunday comics and quotes from three big books I had with nothing but quotes about all sort of topics. These are scans of the paper copies I would print.

After the first week, I started adding quotes . . .

Warning: the Block Editor is still a pain to work with and can cause stress levels to spikes. Use with caution. Avoid if possible.

I have a lot of them, but I think I lost a few due to the many times they got transferred from one backup medium to another. I’ll be posting them whenever I need a heartbeat post.

By the way, that’s what I’m doing now . . . transitioning to my new PC. I’ll do a post about it soon.

Quick note . . . HPI was my company (1984-2004).

Also, you can tell some of these jokes are dated . . . and some of the jokes will fly right over some people’s heads just like the flying toasters.

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.
