Fourth “Y” stories voting reminder.

I’m traveling and probably won’t be very active on the blog (or reading other blogs) for a bit.

Meanwhile, the “Y” stories voting block is at the midway point and this is a quick reminder of the fact for them who plan to read the stories and vote.

If you are a regular reader of our stories, and if you feel like it, forward this post to someone who might enjoy them (and who might vote). The writers will be grateful.

And, as usual, if you’re a regular reader of our stories and someone who votes, thank you in advance for casting a vote for your favorite of the three. Links to the stories and the poll for voting for “Alphabet Challenge Y-Stories” are HERE(link). Votes will be accepted until  Noon (Central Time) on Monday, March 15th, 2021.

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

If you’re new to this blog, it might be a good idea to read the FAQ page. If you’re considering subscribing to this blog, it’s definitively a good idea to read both the About page and the FAQ page.

  1. Wishes for safety on your travels.
Beautiful road photo! It reminds me of my travels around The Western States! The layers of colors in the rocks/mountains are amazing! And the layers of nature/colors you captured from the land all the way up to the sky are beautiful!

  2. Yes, I agree that the colors in your photo are very soothing and enjoyable . . . just what travel ought to be.

I wasn’t aware that “purple mountain majesty” in ‘America The Beautiful’ was inspired by a view of Pikes Peak . . . very fittingly obvious in your photo of what looks like the distant purple Colorado mountains.

And if they’re not, well then . . . I vote they should be.

    1. Yup. I don’t remember if we went up to Pikes Peak while you guys were here. I thought we did. There is a plaque at the top of Pikes Peak with the words.

I think one time when we were up there there was a group singing it . . . and I recorded it.

If I can find it, I’ll post it in a comment below.

    2. Nice singing . . . and beautiful plaques. And, unfortunately, we did not visit Pikes Peak. Next time . . .
