A mundane photos day and a “U” stories voting reminder

I’m not going to mention the current progress . . . embarrassed, I am, and not by riches . . . Doh! I doggoneit done gone and mentioned it! Look, all I want to say is . . .

If you are a reader of our stories and someone who votes, thank you in advance for casting a vote for your favorite of the three. Links to the stories and the poll for voting for “Alphabet Challenge U-Stories” are HERE(link) Votes will be accepted until noon, Chicago time, on Wednesday, December 16th.

I’ve had a couple of busy days, but this afternoon — evening, really — I grabbed my camera, attached the Nikon 80-400mm lens, and went to sit outside for a spell (66° it was … nice, it was).

Since all I wanted to try a few different settings, I just shot random and mundane things.

So, here is some ultra-super-dupper mundaneness . . .

But, I also saw a couple of neat things. For instance, I saw these two planes flying high.

Because they were so close and flying in the same direction, I figured they were military. I figured right. These are the individual photos and their cropped versions . . .

Those are Northrop  Grumman B-2 Spirits (LINK). I got to say, not very stealth.

I also saw at least four of these planes flying high above, spaced about 3-4 minutes apart. I photographed three of them.

Them colors tell me they are UPS planes (LINK) . . . probably helping by doing Some of Santa’s deliveries.

I also saw this plane . . .

. . . sporting the new Delta Airlines colors (LINK).

An even more mundane effort was made shooting this squirrel. I mean, photographing . . .

Of course, When nothing was happening, I reverted back to shooting magnolia tree leaves and evergreens.

Because I was so busy, I forgot to go outside and shoot today’s version of the Saturn-Jupiter Conjunction. It’s going to peak on the 21st when they will practically be bumping into each other. However, I can’t guarantee I’ll have a clear sky on the 21st, so I plan on shooting a photo each night leading up to it.

I’m also trying to capture a few satellites, Hubble, and ISS trails . . . but I’m out of practice, so I’m hoping for the best but prepared for a whole lot of nothing.

Anyway, wrapping this up . . .

This LINK will take you to the SmugMug gallery that has the full-size versions of the above and also photos in recent reminder posts.

I’ll close this update with a gallery of the above . . .

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.
