The Alphabet Challenge: “T” Stories Voting

Assuming everyone has read the stories, this is the place where you can vote for your favorite of the “T” Stories.

For readers who stumbled here or who need a refresher, the stories can be found by clicking on their respective names.

Here are the links to the stories:

Thomas’s Promise(link)

Trust(link)

The Trail(link)

All readers have to do is read each story and choose the one they liked best. Voting is open for two weeks from the date of publication.

For this round, the voting will close at Noon on November 27, 2020.

Note: due to this falling on Black Friday, we have a special deal. A whole additional day to vote! That’s right! Unbelievable, but true. You have until Noon on November 28, 2020, to make your preference known. Tell your friends! Tell your enemies! Tell your neighbors! . . . but wear a mask when you do all that.

As a reminder, to have your vote count, click on the circle next to the story you’re voting for, and then click on “Vote”. If you don’t click on “Vote”, your choice won’t be recorded.

If you have difficulty in voting, let me know in the comments below.

If you would like to leave a comment for the writers — either here or with the individual stories posts — please do so. I will forward each comment/question to the appropriate writer and will post their reply.

The writers will appreciate hearing from you and will likely respond.

The next round of stories — the “U” Stories — should be up a day or two after the closing of this round, around November 29th.

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

  1. Loose finger, here. I mistakenly voted twice, first totally by mistake for story three. Tonight, intentional for the story of choice, # 2. M 😦

    1. Technically, you should not be able to vote twice. But that’s a little misleading.

What is supposed to happen is that if you try to vote again, it should switch your vote, not add another one. Meaning, if you vote for one story, and then try to vote again for that story, it won’t let you.

However, if you vote for a story, and then go back in and vote for a different story, it should ‘switch’ votes. Meaning, take away the previous vote and replace it with your latest one.

That’s how it used to work, but I’ve not tested it in a while. I’ll run some tests (on a different poll) to see if that’s how it still works.

      Regardless, thank you for voting.

As a side note, there are all sorts of ways people could game the system, but we’re trusting readers and voters to be honest about this.

    2. Hmm . . . based on your IP address, all I see is your vote for #3.

It could be the votes have not updated yet at the Crowdsignal site.

      The current vote count is:
2 votes for The Trail (yours and one from Florida)
2 votes for Trust (one from Illinois and one from Qatar)
1 vote for Thomas’s Promise (from Florida).

If it let you vote for Trust after voring for The Trail, the voting should have switched. As of right now, that does not appear to be the case. It could be you tried voting again, and it just didn’t register.

      I wouldn’t worry about it.

    3. Sorry . . . it looks like you CANNOT change your vote once you cast it.

It does “let” you vote, but it tells you your vote has already been counted, and nothing changes.

Meaning, you voted for #3, The Trail.
