Retro scene and “P” stories voting reminder

The Alphabet Challenge “P” Stories voting has stalled, so no flood of votes for us. There are only two more days for them readers who wish to partake in this process.

If you are one such reader, thank you in advance for eventually reading our stories and for eventually casting a vote for your favorite of the three. Links to the stories and the poll for voting for “Alphabet Challenge P-Stories” are HERE.<<<Link Votes will be accepted until noon on September 18th.

So, here’s a photo long-time readers of this blog might recognize . . .

THIS<<link post has it as well as identifying them log homes (interesting story). That post was written a few months after we had moved to Colorado (so, yes, the photo is from Colorado).

OK, OK, I kind of lied . . . the above is the original-as-shot-output-from-the-Nikon-D100-camera. The version in that post had been processed . . . so let me process the above, again . . .

That’s close to the original processing, but using Nik Collection’s Color Efex Pro 2.0.

I can’t leave it at that, of course . . .

Come to think of it, I could have used Aurora HDR 2019 and opted for a more dramatic look . . .

. . . but then, I’d have to Topazify it as well . . .

But, do I want to forget readers who also like — and sometimes prefer — monochrome conversions? Of course not . . .

And, yes, still gonna run the Topaz Impression 2.0 plugin and Topaz Studio 1.0.

Anyway, I need to wind this down because, again, I’m tired and tomorrow is another busy day.

The Gallery for these and other photos from “reminder posts” is HERE<<<Link. The photos are only slightly larger (30-50%) but the details — and quality — are better in SmugMug than here.

Here’s today’s “extra” link . . . HERE.<<link . . . In this time of . . . unsettling experiences, it might be nice to read this linked post and ponder about the information it contains (especially the videos). Honest, take a few minutes and give it a read.

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.
