Color and photos and “P” stories voting reminder

The Alphabet Challenge “P” Stories voting is still open and accepting votes from readers with uncast votes.

If you are one such reader, thank you in advance for eventually reading our stories and for eventually casting a vote for your favorite of the three. Links to the stories and the poll for voting for “Alphabet Challenge P-Stories” are HERE.<<<Link Votes will be accepted until noon on September 18th.

So, here’s the photo from yesterday . . .

. . . and here’s a photo of one of the purple flowers.

I should mention that photographing purple with digital cameras can be a dicey matter. THIS<<link post covers the reasons why. I usually have the opposite issue — blue flowers coming out purple — than the other way around.

In this case, the purple flower came out purple . . . but I wanted it more blue than purple. Easily remedied . . .

Honestly, with modern editing tools, you can get almost anything you want . . .

I mean, let’s see someone go to a nursery and trying to find these colors . . .

The Gallery for these and other photos from “reminder posts” is HERE<<<Link. The photos are only slightly larger (30-50%) but the details — and quality — are better in SmugMug than here.

Here’s today’s “extra” link . . . HERE.<<link . . . it has an example — among other things — about the difficulty in photographing blue, purple, and magenta colors. As I mentioned — and contrary to the link I shared at the beginning of the post — I have more issues with blue flowers coming out purple than the other way around. But — in case anyone is uninterested in the matter — the post only briefly covers the topic and offers much more.

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

    1. Thanks, Carolyn. Busy as a bee with double-vision, but otherwise OK. No, wait . . . one of my fillings fell out. A bit of a bummer as I now can’t chew rocks.

      Hope you weekend went well.

      1. Went to get it repaired this morning (I was lucky that there had been a cancellation just before I called). Literally got off the phone and left to make it there on time.

Unfortunately, that was also when the cable guy showed up to repair the cable the workers next door had cut, so Melisa stayed behind.

And, yes, we have internet again . . .
