I should be writing but, instead . . .

Warning: Ugly, old, white male ahead.

These came about because a few days ago I got a few hummers to land on my finger . . . and I wanted a recording of it.

Unfortunately, this time, they were not obliging. Still, I got to spend some time with them.

Also, it kept me from writing. The twins are almost ready with their stories, so I should get cranking with mine.

Also also, please excuse my long hair; I’ve meaning to cut it.

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

Anticipation is the operative word here, both for you and for us. So now I’ll be anticipating more videos, but this time with the hummingbirds on your finger! Yes!

Not sure how many time I’ll try.

Conditions back there are ripe for mosquitoes and I don’t like getting bit. But, i’ll give it a couple of more tries.

It’s strange how I felt the urge to keep perfectly still while I watched these videos.

  3. HA! The hummingbirds are like, “Who put this hippie statue by our favorite restaurant?”

Okay, now I’m gonna’ be waiting, too, to see hummingbirds on your finger…or in your flowing locks of hair!

Great vids, Emilio! That is so cool that you got to spend time with them so up close!
    HUGS!!! :-)

Very impressive! I thinks it’s so cool to see hummers fly around you. Beside the slow breathing in and out, I’m amazed at how still you stood there without moving and that the hummers still came around. Hoping next time you get to have one land on your finger. I do remember seeing your photos of them on your finger, but to have a video, well that would be awesome! The experience must be so amazing too!

      Thanks, Louise.

Those are only one minute clips of longer videos. When I do that, I typically go out for ten minutes or so.

Even though they come around a lot, they are so quick that if I showed the whole video, it would be pretty boring.

I do have videos of hummers on my fingers from Colorado.

  6. Well, hello from another old ugly white male! But I’m uglier than you — haven’t had a haircut since pre-Covid days. Hey, I saw you move just before the end of the last video!
