Another “What’s that?” and “K” stories voting reminder

If you need a break from stuff, maybe the “K” stories are just what you need. Go ahead; give them a read (there’s at least one good one, I’d wager), and if you’ve read them, please vote for your favorite of the “Alphabet Challenge K-Stories” HERE.<<<This Is A Link

Clicking on the above link will take you to the post with the poll where you can cast your vote. The post also contains links to the individual stories. After voting, readers can — and some say “should” — spread the news about the stories to friends and family. Or, not. But, we hope for yes.

So . . . another “what’s that?” It seems the first one was enjoyed by many some, so I thought I’d do a Round 2. Here’s the first offering:

“What’s that?” — No. 1

As before, leave a guess in the comments if you think you know (and feel like sharing).

Edited to add: if you want to play, guess before reading the comments (meaning, no peeking).

Yes, you need to be specific. You can’t just say “it’s the inside of an old ma’s mouth” . . . you need to specify the old man and which side of the mouth, as in “it’s the right side of Bob’s mouth.”

Here’s a hint for No. 1: it’s from Hawaiʻi.

Here another from Hawaiʻi, and I know readers have seen this before, so it’s probably a slam-dunk for some . . .

“What’s that?” — No. 2

Again, specificity is valued over vagueness.

Next, two versions of the same thing. Again, this should be easy for some . . . and near-impossible for others. No hints because there are two photos of the same thing.

“What’s that?” — No. 3A
“What’s that?” — No. 3B

All of these photos are from the Samsung Note 8, so that might also be a hint of sorts. Or, not.

Here’s the hint for the next two offerings . . . Smile!

“What’s that?” — No. 4
“What’s that?” — No. 5

The hint for the next one is . . . Old, but not ancient, and almost everyone has one.

“What’s that?” — No. 6

Anyone getting this next one will amaze me. The hint is . . . Meditation.

“What’s that?” — No. 7

An easy-going hint for the next offering . . . Slow and steady.

“What’s that?” — No. 8

Last, but not least . . . The shape of things to come.

“What’s that?” — No. 9

As before, the reveal will happen in the next post. Meanwhile, guess away.

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

    1. Not too bad . . . I’ll give you three for sure, and a half of one. I could give the other half, but since you specified what it was (and it’s not), you only get a half. I’ll nix the cork because, you know, it is obviously a cork, but that’s not the item. I’ll also nix the halogen reflector since that’s just a part of what it is and the reflector is there as something else.

But, as I said, pretty good. Good memory, too, about a couple of previous posts (but not the one you half-missed). You lead the pack so far and I doubt anyone will do better unless they read your answers and know a couple of the other items.

    2. Okay, not bad for what took me over two hours to research through your posts and SmugMug! But it was fun, so I’m not complaining!
