Another “G” stories voting reminder and more Note 8 photos

So, again, if you’ve read them, the writers hope you voted for your favorite of the “Alphabet Challenge G-Stories” HERE. That’s also where you can find links to the stories so that — you know — if you’ve yet to read them, you can get to reading them before voting.

If you’ve already voted, thank you . . . and please consider making your friends aware of this great opportunity, especially if they like unknown authors in the chance one of them might someday be famous and your friend can then say “I knew it!

So, more photos. Samsung Note 8 photos.

One might be tempted to guess a Colorado setting, but no. This is Central Illinois.

And this . . .

This, some might be tempted to assume it’s from one of the Hawaiʻian islands . . . but the assumption would be wrong. Southern Illinois, this one.

You’re not even going to try and guess that one, are you? of course, it’s Northern Illinois.

And this next one? Nope; not Illinois. Not even in the US . . .

Did I hear someone say Canada? Yes? Good for you!

Last, but not least . . .

This is from my backyard, so . . . yes, Southern Illinois.

You can click on the above photos and see a bigger photo, but you can also go to SmugMug (HERE) and the full-size versions. I’ll even include the intermediary step(s) before I added the frames.

In fact, I’ll also add those to the gallery below.

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

  1. I said “Canada!”
    NOT!
    Ha!
I am not good at figuring out where things were found and photographed.
My neighbor has plants growing beautifully that look like they are being growing in a tropical country…and we live in the mountains and we get snow every year. Ha. So I’d never figure it out.
Wonderful original photos, Emilio! And they you gave them great art-looks!
    (((HUGS))) for you and Melisa!

    1. In case you haven’t seen the email I sent you, your comment isn’t showing up on the post. I’m having WordPress look into it, but as of now, they don’t know why not.

      1. It’s here this morning . . . but (even though I’m logged in), it’s asking me to identify myself before I reply to the comment on my own blog.

I’m pretty sure these kinds of things result from changes they made to “improve” things. I think I received a couple of emails in the last few weeks touting amazing improvements to the blogging experience.

From actual experience, the more improvements one makes to something that was already giving users a pretty good experience, the more it degrades said experience. I’m sure it’s some kind of law because all of the companies are subject to it.

At some point, when something has improved enough, users leave for a better (simpler) experience with some new product or service. It happened with Twitter (although that might be more the users than the platform), it’s happening with Facebook, and it definitively happened with Google and GMail, which I’m actively searching for an alternative to.

  2. What beauties these be! Naturally, I went to SmugMug to give them a proper good look. When I clicked on the processed red Canadians . . . I was in artistic heaven . . . no, wait . . . I reached celestial heights . . . yes, you’ll like that more.
