A litle of this and a little of that

On a recent update, Samsung added the capability for Super-slow Motion to the Note 8. Mind you, it’s very limited. By limited, I mean that you can only shoot a few seconds of video and end up with about 6 seconds of slow motion captures.

The problem is that you have to catch whatever you want to film just right . . .

I’m about 18-24 inches away from these guys, for them who want to know.

One of the frustrating things (aside from the very short recording time limit) is that the phone won’t lock in the focus where you set it. Still, I managed a few good videos . . .

For them who watched the video in my previous post, you can see that feeder in the background. The one in front of me is one that I added this morning . . . and was literally swarmed by 4-6 hummers.

Don’t be misled . . . many photos have been taken in the last few months. Sadly, I don’t know when I will have the time to catch you all up on my phone photography efforts.

Why, just today — following a visit to the farmer’s market here in town — I snapped a few photos.

That pepper on the right left looks like it wants to be an apple . . . but it is, in fact, a pepper.

I also saw some interesting melanzane . . . eggplants to you.

The colors were great but I was more interested on the green portions . . .

It had a peculiar look; like if it were made out of plastic and stuck there. The photos don’t do them justice but, trust me, they looked totally fake and just stuck on there as an afterthought.

I’m not sure if I should call that a cherry or cherries. It has this vaguely renal vibe to it . . .

Some of the phone photos are taken because the subject has an interesting “look” . . . like, for instance, these potato plant leaves. I liked the edge coloring of the leaves.

. . . plus I can always play with a few settings and . . .

I don’t know how I feel about this next photo taken at the Costco in Evansville, IN . . .

Octopi intelligence has been somewhat romanticized but still . . . who’d want to eat tentacles?

Lastly, I’d like to share the view (looking down) from atop an exercise bike at the gym . . .

Let me tell you . . . that machine looks pretty well pissed-off.
