Project 313 – Post No. 217

Today I look back all the way to late Summer of 2012 . . . and some hummingbird photos.

You can look too, if you want, HERE.

And now, the photo:

This is the only tail light I’ve ever seen sporting instruction as to what you should do if you see it light up.

I like it and I think they should do that with current tail lights.

And now, some advice for both newlyweds and longtime-married out there . . . if you get this question . . .

. . . either throw the other person a bone and answer “yes” or divorce them. Don’t force them to compare themselves to fake cardboard.

A while back, Spinners were all the rage so I had my hand at designing a few. Unfortunately, no one is interested in my designs so I share them here. The first one is . . . The Happy Spinner.

The Happy Spinner

And . . . that’s it

Some of these posts will likely be longer as the mood hits me, but most will be thus; short, uninteresting, bland, and relentless.

You can read about Project 313 HERE.

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

  1. It’s so nice to see your hummingbird portraits! They’re so sweet and beautiful and fun to watch! :-) It’s gotten so cold here now that the only birds I’ve seen is a few doves. I was shocked to see them this late in the year.

PHOTO: That is SO cool! I’ve never seen such a thing before.
CARTOON: HA! :-D And I wonder where he will go next with this question. HA!
DOODLE: Definitely a happy spinner! And the colors are fun! And reminds me of chalk or crayon drawings, which I love!
    HUGS!!! :-)

OK, it took me more than an hour of searching through your old posts, SmugMug and Google to find the word “vignette”! All because I wanted to comment on the hummingbird photos linked above! So, here it is . . . love them hummingbirds, particularly the B&W photo vignettes (periphery that fades to white).

    But it was worth it!

Not sure I understand . . . I linked the post. What were you searching for?

Or, were you trying to think of the word “vignette”?

The fastest way to find stuff on Google (or other search engines) is to describe the effect. So, look for “darker or lighter corners of a photo” and the word pops up as well as examples and ways to accomplish the effect.

Yes, I couldn’t remember the word “vignette”. I did try several descriptions, but kept missing the mark because I wasn’t focused. Nevertheless, I like researching,so I got a lot more out of the searches.
