I like the colors in this one. Of course, I’ve been told my best of these series of car details was in a previous post, so I don’t expect many people to like this.
Speaking of cars, I’m glad to see the opportunity to own one continues in the afterlife . . .
Well, I’m a sucker for taking the untraveled road. Besides, I’ve been told by many to head that way, so the right lane it is.

Interesting. What I suspect is that mostly people are only interested in the here and now and will rarely click on links to old posts. It is a tough job keeping visitor numbers up if we have to rely entirely on new content.
I am going to finish my current series of posts on Northern Italy and take a break and see what happens.

The question is this: what are you trying to accomplish with your posts?
It’s never been the case that links get a lot of clicks, at least not in my blog (it’s rare and usually limited to a few faithful followers).
I’ll go one step further . . . it’s never been the case that people give but a cursory glance at the content of most posts. Basically, rarely does anyone actually reads a post. They might look at a photo or two but even then, it’s typically a fast scroll if anything at all. In that regard, people who post one or two photos do “better” in terms of hitting the reader’s sweet spot; they hit the typical reader’s limit of interest.
It’s a question of numbers (in 20`5, roughly 2 million new blog posts each day); unless you’re famous or happen to get lucky with a topic, that’s a lot of competition to overcome.
There’s all sorts of advice out there; some say post something every day, some day every three days, some say keep it short/medium/long and some offer to promote your blog (for a fee). I noticed no difference if I ask readers to forward to friends (or enemies). I don’t see any more participation for polls or other devices aimed at encouraging interaction.
Unless I get on some controversial subject (guns, religion, politics), few people comment. If I do get into controversial subjects, I lose some people and gain others, but the average (about 20-30 visitors) has not changed for years despite my subscribers doubling.
So, why do I (typically) indulge in longer posts or posts with lots of links?
Because that’s what I like. Because one or two people will enjoy them.
I can guarantee that the majority of my Project 313 posts are by now something most people ignore (ho-hum; more of the same). The only reason I link older posts is it keeps them alive (primarily) for me.
Regardless of the number of links and/or photos, most posts will get an average of 3 clicks and I pretty much know who’s clicking them links; a couple of regular readers.
That means all the new readers and casual perusers never bother immersing in what I write or what I show.
And, that’s fine.

Thank you! Back at you! We have some outdoor yard-stuff to finish up as winter is coming fast. Other than that we will do some indoor chores, takes some walks, run some errands, watch a good movie or two, and have a BBQ on Monday. 🙂

EJ: Noticing today that I had not seen a post from you in days, [apparently, some catastrophic event occurred on or about 11/9/18,] as your daily posts stopped. Going back I have advanced through the forward arrows but got weigh laid (Am I allowed to print that on WP?) on the link that led to Tracy Arm. We did Glacier Bay in 2008 and a few others, but not Tracy. Your photos are …well, time-consuming! I’ve been browsing through all, twice, including the Smug Gallery, and playing extensively with many of the images. (Did you see the rivulet emerging out of a large tunnel halfway up the valley, and below its glacier? It’s that kind of detail that is so precious, and so well captured in your images.) You’ve got a treasure trove of great stuff published during my pre-WP days!

Thank you for the kind words. As for the subscriptions, there was a time a few months ago where I had to re-subscribe to a number of blogs that — for some reason — were dropped. I now do a check every few weeks to make sure I’m still subscribed to the blogs I’m interested in.
Until Project 313 ends, you should see a post per day (unless I die) until its completion. After that, I’ll probably return to more infrequent posts.
As for the old stuff, I started linking them because I was rushing through doing posts but it’s turned out to be a decent way for me to go back and see things I like.
Sometimes I forget just how much content I put out there.

I usually try to balance the colors in the photo with the frame and matting. But, in this case, I think the pattern in the grille is complemented by the verticals and horizontals of the frame.
