Project 313 – Post No. 176

Kind of a hectic and peculiar day spend doing lots of stuff but accomplishing not much of anything specific.

. . . including not getting one of these posts ready until just a few hours before the scheduled publication time.

What the world needs is for it to slow down a bit. Maybe even go a bit retro and cut back on all this stuff that now occupies our time.

. . . but, not too far back; not looking to have to shovel horse manure and plow the back forty by hand.

And now, the photo:

Project 313 176

I like how that turned out. The original was too long to photograph and fit into a single photo so I took five photos thinking I would join them in a panorama.

But, as it turns out, I must have moved a bit closer or farther as I moved sideways and the sizes didn’t exactly match. However, taking the phots at the ends and one at the beginning, I created a new composition I find pleasing.

Sometimes, we find different ways to solve problems; ways that give the same result but not exactly what we originally intended.

It’s called “innovation” or “thinking outside the box”.

I bet you’ve never seen this . . . Raw Piano Keys Before Being Cut, Sorted, and Arranged.

And . . . that’s it

Some of these posts will likely be longer as the mood hits me, but most will be thus; short, uninteresting, bland, and relentless.

You can read about Project 313 HERE.

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

  1. Do I detect a case of nostalgia?

      I’m not nostalgia-prone . . . more like headphone-prone to drown out irritations.

The going back bit is parroting what I hear people say (MAGA, and all that nonsense) when they don’t stop and think about all the things they’ve gained since the “good ole days”. To be sure, there’s bad stuff too. But, the bad stuff is always there, no matter “when” you go.

By most metric, most things are “better” now . . . most of today’s complaining is less about things being terrible and more about wanting even “more better” than we got.

  2. PHOTO: The colors are cool!
CARTOON: Very creative solution. And very selfish. Ha!
DOODLE: Perfect and very ingenious title for this doodle!
    HUGS!!! :-)

      Thank you, Carolyn.

. . . I’m getting desperate with my doodle titles. It’s the pressure to be clever and odd at the same time, you see. It’s usually one or the other with me.
