Samsung Note 8 and Snapseed Processing — The Other Files

I called these the “other” files because they are a mix of different things. For instance, my breakfast bowl . . . 

. . . followed by a photo of a utility access cover with a palm frond and tiny leaves . . . 

The above photo might not look like it but I used it to learn how to do spot adjustments in Snapseeds. The program is more powerful and with more options than I gave it credit for. Some of them are new options that only showed up in recent months. 

Now, given that it’s a Google App, they will probably improve it to the point it’s fantastic and that’s when they’ll decide to drop it and no longer support it. Better get the most out of it while you still can.

This next shot was also used to learn a few specialized editing functions using local adjustments, healing, and using the brush in general. 

Since I have a Note 8, I have a stylus and it makes the more precise editing easier. BUT . . . you can zoom in to a particular area and thus edit without the use of a stylus by moving the brush pointer around with your finger. 

This particular scene was somewhat difficult to translate into a B&W photo because of the amount of fine detail it contains. But, I gave it a go.

This next version is my favorite of the three . . . 

Next up, it’s a Save the World message . . . 

For me, it would carry more import if it weren’t from a brewing company . . . and it didn’t have a religious bend.

I don’t know what to make of them because I don’t know how much of it is tongue-in-cheek and how much is belief they’re doing the work of god. Regardless, it makes for an interesting visual . . . plus, I don’t drink beer so it’s no skin off my nose (or dollars from my pockets).

A month after we moved into our current condo they repaved the parking lot and stenciled the parking places with fresh and bold white paint. 

. . . I so wish this had been the parking place for the place we rented . . . alas, it was not.

Whenever I see it, I think how cool it would be . . . until I remember idiots would come for me with torches and pitchforks.

The funny thing is that religious folks should rejoice in the coming of The Beast. It is, after all, why the incestuous kid hisself plans to come back and lay waste to the world. 

I mean, isn’t it why most christians support Israel? Isn’t it why the cheered the moving of the US embassy to Jerusalem? It brings them a tad closer to the moment when they will all be judged for being haters and having made other people’s lives miserable. 

. . . honest, some days I wish there were a god because I can’t believe any god worthy of the name can be as malicious, capricious, and just plain mean as the followers maintain. 

. . . alas, I’ll never know . . . and neither will they.
