I should be transitioning to my PC as early as tomorrow (this being Saturday, here on the Big Island). However, I had worked on some photos for a phone update, so I’ll use them.
Warning: this will not be a long post.
First, an original doodle . . .
It don’t look like much, but a little Pixlr magic and . . .
Of course, I’m still snapping flowers . . .
It rained and so . . .
Oh, I had one other doodle . . .
Here’s the Pixlr mod of it . . .
Pretty snazzy, eh?
Here’s a video (hadn’t heard this in a while and came across it by chance):
And because it’s Sunday . . .
Oh, what the heck . . . here’s a few more from some time in the last century . . .
How about a scene I like from a movie I like? OK, but this is the last one.
I don’t have my usual disclaimer, but just imagine I do . . . or go to an older post to read it.
Beautiful pictures, colorful doodles, and a brief musical visit to the past…..who could ask for anything more?

Thank you, Sandra. Sometimes we need the simple things.

The closest we have for flowers are the ones we buy at the supermarket. They probably come from Hawaii, too. Or Mexico, adding to our 5,000 trillion dollar trade deficit.

I hear we’re going to build a wall made out of flower vases. That should cut down the influx of Mexican flowers and be a big boom for Hawaii.

Excuse me — I need to go buy some luggage.

Had we the wherewithal — and the means — we too would buy those steamer trunks.
. . . I can’t even imagine the airline fees traveling with them things . . .

Now I want to watch the whole film.

Go for it. It’s a great movie. I think, if forced to limit myself to owning and watching one — and only one — movie for the rest of my life, this would be the movie I’d pick. The music alone would make that worth it.
plus, philosophy:

Oh, yeah . . . philosophy AND music . . .

Joe VS the Volcano is one of my fav movies! (But there are very few Mr. Hanks movies I don’t enjoy. I actually like some of his earliest ones best.)
Enjoyed your doodles! In the set of the first doodle I like the original and then it’s last look of the colors on the dark background! It looks like batik fabric!
Also like the last one of the 2nd doodle! It has motion! Very letter-y, dotty, and colorful!
Glad you can transition to your PC soon!
Your photos are beautiful…love the rainy rainbow-y-sky and raindrops!
Great music vids, too!
Happy Monday!!!
HUGS!!! 🙂

Thanks, diem3. I’m on the PC right now but needs maintenance and – sadly – I need to take it down tomorrow for a spell.
I hope to be back to “normal” sometime Wednesday, after which I hope to get back to my boring routine.
JVTV is one of two movies that “hit me” significantly in my 30s, the other being “Local Hero”. Both have great stories and great music but are vastly different films in stories and pacing.

I’ve never seen Local Hero. I’ll have to google it. 🙂

Worth watching (I think). Here’s a couple of scenes and some music from it:

Mightn’t be a long post but it wasn’t a short one either!

It’s difficult, in’t it, being confused about what one wants to complain about . . .
