Late evening unwind

Once again, Topaz Studio is tasked with assisting my unwinding.

I have to say, Studio makes using the plugins and other adjustments a lot easier than using it from the Adobe products. Plus, there’s a lot of saved “recipes” from the community. I should probably save some of my concoctions and save them.

. . . well, here’s my latest batch; a mix of Note 2 and Note 8 photos.

First up, a rendition of a sunset off the balcony of the condo we’re renting.

Part of what I’m doing is learning the program, but also trying out different color combinations. Were I an artist, I’d know all about colors; things like primary, complementary, and other technical jargon. As it is, I just throw switches until I like something.

This next rendition is of a flower in a parking lot.

Next up, an old favorite of mine taken at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Spring.

Here’s another flower from another parking lot . . . not that you’d recognize it as such.

How about a straight-up photo . . . from our sink?

Both of these next pieces are reminiscent of works of famous artists . . . but they’re my own.

Both of those are from the trip out East when I attended the Viable Paradise workshop in 2015.

Here’s a photo taken at the harbor in Salem.

And a photo from Martha’s Vineyard.

Next up, a moth that was out on our lanai.

And lastly, one of the ornaments I mailed out for Christmas last year . . .

OK, I’m off to bed; perhaps I’ll read a bit or watch some YouTube videos. Or, perhaps, I’ll draw something. Life is exciting, ain’t it?

Here’s the gallery of the above presented in random order. If you want to comment on a particular photo, identify it either from the subject matter or by the position in the post above; using the position in the gallery is not helpful because when it’s randomized, the order changes with each viewing.

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

  1. I like them all. Very vibrant colors and excellent color harmony between photo/art and frame. Beautifully done!

    1. Thanks, Ann. It’s fun to play around with and I’m probably pushing the impact of the colors past where I would normally have them, but that’s what I’ve seen done with framed artwork. Not that, you know, this is artwork. Just playing around, as I say.

      1. I needed colors tonight . . . and this collection of photo/frames is truly artistic! And, yes, that’s artwork to me. Especially that moth . . . wow!!!

  2. I downloaded the Studio weeks ago but have yet to use it. That’s because I’m not using plugins like I once did. Matter of fact, I seldom use them now so I don’t get excited about trying new ones. It’s just a silly phase I’m goin’ through.

    1. I go in stages, rotating my time between all the tools I have. I’m currently going away from ON1 so I’m more apt to try other things. My current go-to tools is the Nik Collection, but this is fun and quick to play with.

  3. These are such a joy to look at, Emilio! They evoke positive emotions!
I see photography as an art…and they you take your artistic photos and make them even more unique! And the framing is cool, too!
The bear, the bubble, and the bug all capture me in quickly!
    HUGS!!! 🙂

  4. Think I took a photo of that ship in Salem Harbour, oh; okay! Salem Harbor ; called the Friendship Salem. I’d attach a copy of my pic if I knew how.
It was pointing out to sea, that is the opposite direction to yours, thought I’d best add that, didn’t want to confuse you

    1. That is the Friendship. Good eye. We drove through there when I went to the Viable Paradise writing workshop.

      Neat ship.

And thanks; I just hate being confused.
