Deep Dream Generator — The Animal Files

I could be losing it, but I thought I posted the animal files already . . . but I can’t find the post. Man, I hate getting old. Sure, there’s the excitement of everything being new again as the memory function detariorates, but there’s also the nagging suspicion one is just going in circles.  

Of course, it could also be that I use the same photos for multiple styles applications and I’ve done so many that they are all starting to blend together. Yeah, that’s it! It’s not that I’m losing my mind . . . it’s that I’m too prolific!

Anyway, welcome to yet another Deep Dream post. This might be the last one for a while because this set is the last of the DD I’ve run to date. To be sure, I’ll be running others, but not for a little while.  

So, here we go . . . 

That giraffe is worth one more look using a different style . . . 

This one shows a bit better the drunken look characterized by the tongue hanging out of the side of the mouth. Frankly, while I’ve seen many such depictions in cartoons and comics, I’ve never actually seen a drunk do that. Perhaps drunks I’ve known are not as skilled as others are at looking goofy. 

I show the cougars quite a lot, and I checked to make sure these were not used before. 

Of those three, the last one is my favorite. 

By the way, I had posted a number of DD files in posts I published while I was traveling, but because I was using the phone, I didn’t have the chance to add them to the massive DD SmugMug Gallery HERE. If you click on the link, you’ll go to the first of the recently used files. The gallery now has something like 330 DD files and I aim to add about 30 more with this post. 

There’s one other cougar shot I often use as the seed file, and it’s this one . . . 

Neither of those is particularly striking, but, dang it, I have them and I’m going to use them.

The following are a few files I used in posts that were not about photos or that were password protected. I wanted to gather them here and in the SmugMug gallery so as to preserve them for posterity. 

Some of those are very early in my DD career. The Wallaby had other treatments that turned out a bit more interesting. 

Meh! . . . maybe not all that interesting.

This fellow was used in one post that I now don’t remember . . . I do remember few people read it — or, they read it and chose to ignore it. 

That same post had this guy in it . . . 

There’s another one of the howler monkey that I don’t think people have seen . . . 

These next two variations of a gorilla were initially grouped with my rejects but I figure I should include them anyway in the annals of Disperser’s DD efforts.

I aim to finish with the orangutang series, so let me put up a few odd ones . . . 

First, the rare occurrence of a horse . . . 

. . . followed by a previously used fox . . . 

. . . and the majestic lion . . . 

. . . and confident silverback . . . 

And that leads us to the orangutang with the forlorn look. He (or she) was a good subject for many styles, all shown below.

So, here we are at the end of a quick post summarizing the last of the Deep Dream files, at least for now, and that’s no bull . . . wait . . . yes, yes it is!

I know, I know . . . this post is short on cleverness that forces a smile, short on the gentle wit that warms the souls of people who have them, short on the deep insight into human nature that helps humans bear the burden of their existence, and short on the kind of humor that can’t help but elicit raucous and prolonged roll-on-the-floor laughter . . . but then, isn’t that the case for all my posts?
