Disperser 2016 In Review: Photos – Second Quarter

Come April, I was still documenting the 2015 Tri-Lakes Cruisers Show.

But, I also intermingled photos from my trusty Samsung Note II, especially — but not limited to — those from our trips to thrift stores.

I’d often add effects to the Phone photos. Sometimes to make them more interesting and sometimes to hide flaws.

Around this time I also started adding more of my food faces: photos of food that depicted facial features to which I would then add my own artwork.

Sometimes, I would just play with the phone photos just for the joy of it and to see what I could come up with . . .

May found us traveling and also scrambling to liquidate our belongings. I had very few posts . . . THIS post full of previously published flowers, photos of snow . . .

By June, the PC had been packed away and we were homeless . . . so, nothing but phone photos. . . .

Admittedly, a lot happened in May and halfway through June . . . but then I had a lot of time on my hands . . . and I posted a fair amount of stuff even without having access to a proper computer.

The end of June found us settled into a leased condo with a decent view and no Air Conditioning. In retrospect, we should have picked the one with Air Conditioning and no view. But, that’s water (mostly sweat) under the bridge.

. . . and half of 2016 had come and gone, some of it captured for these pages.

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

Some great pictures in this post….yes, even some of the black & white ones.

I think I would have made the same choice, too….good view yes, air conditioning no. And perhaps might also have questioned my wisdom, but still, definitely the view.

      Thank you, Sandra.

The condo A/C decision is one we occasionally revisit. Part of the choice was because we were told it would be cooler at the higher elevation . . . and it is, but not nearly enough during the hottest months. The thing with the view is that our other choice would have had us withing a minute’s walk to the shore. It was a difficult decision at the time for other considerations. I think it still would be as most places have both positives and negatives aspects and things that matter one day might not matter another day. In other words, life.

I recognize the flowers chichirica and kalachuchi. Kalachuchi has a nice scent. Oh, I also see papaya . Bananas and papayas are our everyday fruits here at home. About papayas, do you know the ones with seeds are sweeter than the seedless ones.

I must say I enjoy your food faces a lot! They make me laugh! And your flower photos always bring smiles! You find some interesting captures at thrift stores, Emilio…those are always fun photos to look at! And love love love your anything-to-do-with cars photos!

Had to OneNote your second cruiser shot (red/white). That’s great inspiration for an abstract painting! Also, your processed waffle shot is very creative. I also like your flower shots, bagel faces, etc.
