Parrot Tulips May 2015

There are so many things to do . . . tonight, I was screening. That is, repairing screens.

Earlier, I was shooting things. That is, photographing them for listings.

Earlier still, I was in the gutter. That is, the rain gutter.

Finally, I’m packing. That is, carrying a gun. But, also stuffing boxes.

Above all, I apologize to blogs I’ve been neglecting. I’ve read a few posts but missed others. I see notices of new posts and I have all the good intentions to stop by. Sometimes I do, but often I’m in the middle of something and the opportunity passes.

Just another month or so, I promise. Meanwhile, Parrot Tulips.

I snapped three photos. Each was processed in three different ways besides my normal processing. Click on photos for the larger version.

This is my normal processing:

Here are the same photos processed in my variants of B&W.

Here’s another pass at some B&W processing:

And here’s the final processing . . .

20160506_DSC5534_1-Processed-Processed-3_DIGIThat last one doesn’t look processed, but it’s one of Topaz’s filters.

And now, nearly midnight (or, as a friend insists, 12:00am), I stop this and get ready for bed. I’ll do a bit of reading (John’s Scalzi’s Ghost Brigade – I’ve just recently finished rereading all my novels) and then fall into a deep sleep.

I appreciate all the people still taking the time to come see what I’m not doing. I’ll return the favor next month.

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

What you are not doing is often more interesting than what others post long stories about on Facebook, for example. Always a pleasure to see what’s happening . Even in black and white.

Thanks, Sandra. In my younger days, I might have called upon my modesty and indulged in a bit of self-effacement, but if Trump has taught me anything is that one should embrace one’s own greatness and constantly boast about it.

The stuff I’m not doing truly is great. The best anyone has ever not seen. People can’t believe the stuff I’m not doing. And the best part? I’m not paying for it.

And, yes, I’m considering growing my hair out and doing wondrous things with it.

  2. Yep, and they’ve got great photographers in Colorado. The best!

Boy, I would sure like to meet one . . . they could perhaps teach me a thing or two. Although I won’t be here for much longer, so some other time, perhaps.

  3. Ha! all the things you’ve been doing carry a double meaning! I enjoyed reading about all of that! Hope things are going well in your business and busyness! :-)
Stunning tulips! They are parroty! :-P
    HUGS and Happy Whee-kend!!! :-)

As unbelievable as it seems, there are some things in life more important than blogs. I know you’ve been busy. Do what you gotta do.

More important than blogs? Get out!

Yeah, this has been a long day. Sold stuff, moved stuff, packed stuff, unpacked stuff.

      No joke . . . I finally had breakfast at 3:30pm.

I understand you perfectly about the late breakfast. On our moving day I, too, finally had my first drink of water and food (pizza) at around 4pm. What’s strange is that I did not feel thirsty or hungry at all before that.

Anyway, I want to add that the sunny color of those lovely tulips is just what we need on this rainy day. Great look on that quasi color pic!
