Random Humor and Cruisers XVI – The Details Part VII

Random Humor

It’s been a long day. Well, all the days are the same length of time but when you do a lot of stuff, they can seem to both fly by and also be interminable.

By the way, listening to this:

Great music . . . crappy movie. Rather, a movie with a lot of promise that veered off the path, careened down a steep embankment, hit a giant boulder which began a massive landslide that uncovered an even more massive cesspool, the contents of which covered and masked some of the stink of the movie . . . but still left it crappy.

In case you’re wondering, that’s not the humor I’m referring to. Nope, no written humor. Instead, I’ll post some older (not ancient) cartoons which the reader — that be you — can perhaps place in the appropriate timeframe.

Mr. Boffo is one of my favorite strips. Note the t-shirt humor in the title of the above. Here’s another one I like (although not tied to any particular historical event):

One of the strips I discovered when I owned my company (and which I still read) is Overboard:

I wasn’t that kind of boss, but it was fun to imagine. The strip made fun of both workers and management . . . on a pirate ship.

I liked it because of the interplay between the characters.

Of course, some I could not use . . .

. . . I knew a number of people like Charley . . .

Non-Sequitur can always be counted on coming very close to matching my sense of humor.

Here’s one that is a bit dated . . .

Of course, some things are timeless . . .

Cruisers Update XVI – The Details Part VII

Continuing with my late reporting of the June 14, 2015, Tri-Lakes Vintage Car show.

By the way, this musical piece might be long enough to last you through the end of the post (too long if you just skim) . . . if, that is, you want music accompanying you in your macro journey:

I’m not identifying the various car makes and models these macros belong to because, as I’ve oft asserted and repeated, I ain’t no car guy. That said, one can perhaps determine the car associated with the macros below by reading previous posts or going to the SmugMug gallery and looking at the photos of cars, matching them to the macros. 

BUT . . . see if you can guess this next one:

I like both the original and B&W version of this next photo. Hard for me to pick a favorite. 

I don’t know why I like this next one . . . nothing springs to mind. 

I lingered with this next one for a number of shots . . . but I’ll only show the best ones — or what I think are the best ones. 

I thought that last one would look good in a B&W negative . . . 

Here’s a subtle but different treatment. 

This next photo is not as in focus as I would like, but I still like it.

Of course, after an engine interlude, one needs some red to cleanse the palate. 

Yes, a truck door . . . but, let me shed some light on this here post . . .
