While my focus will likely be heavier on writing than on photography, photographs will always be a part of this blog because they are a part of my life.
Looking at this year’s output, one might surmise that I’ve snapped fewer photos than in previous years. Not so . . . but I’ve not processed as much as I have in the past. In fact, I have a huge backlog of photos from three Florida trips from a few years ago, one Yellowstone trip, and various excursion that right now are hiding somewhere in the back of my mind.
Even though I posted less, I still posted a significant amount. I’m not going to link the posts because there are too many, but I will put up a few of the notable photos from this past year.
A lot of January was spent documenting the December 2014 Cruise to the Caribbean. There are a lot of photos, and I’m only sampling a few.
Being January, I also featured weather . . . specifically, winter weather:
February saw a repeat of January . . . travel and weather reports. Some of the travel happened three or four years ago. Another indication of how lazy I am when it comes to processing photos in a timely manner.
Some of the travel was us taking a drive within a few hours from home . . .
March & April:
I’m combining these two months because I took April off from the blog, Facebook, and Twitter. Something I might do again this year.
However, while I took April off, I scheduled a post for each day of April. The photos below are but a small sample of what I posted, and it covered everything from our visits to antique stores to odd stuff that I picked almost at random.
The month of May saw a mix of old and new. I continued with antique store curiosities, added birds, dabbled in flowers, and just anything that interested me.
A busy month . . . went to Yellowstone, watched the thunderbirds, went to an vintage car show, shot a dog, and looked to the sky . . . among other stuff.
I also reprocessed some photos from 2005 . . . a visit to the zoo and a hot air balloon launch.
July was the month where I started looking back at old photos. I got interest in applying modern post-processing to photos that at one time I might have written off. I also got involved in remaking popular covers and movie posters.
August had more cover remakes, me playing around with B&W, and me using food to create faces . . .
I really started to slow down in September. I also started listing stuff on e-Bay. And, I did a few more covers.
Very few new photos in October. I was gone for a few weeks while I attended the workshop. Sure, I took some photos, but the only stuff I posted was me playing with various processing.
Another slow month as I was busy with many things, including NaNoWriMo. Still, I threw some things up . . .
Even though I had very little this month, I had to look it up because I didn’t remember what I posted . . . a sure sign that I need to get back to doing a bit more photography.
That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.
