Still behind in my NNWM-2K15 effort, but the good news is that I am at the point in the story where it begins to gel in my mind and I can envision structure and plot. Faint outlines, to be sure, but they are there.
Anyway, this is where I am right now with my NNWM-2K15 effort.
As of tonight, I have 19,120 words written. The graph above only shows 17,784 because I’m not including what I’m currently writing. Normally, I post two chapters, but this time I’m only posting one (Chapter 9) because there are a couple of details on Chapter 10 that I might yet change to feed into chapter 11 (currently writing).
Which brings me to posting what I have written. As in prior years, all of it will go up on the blog. But, as in prior years, all but the first two chapters are offered up in password-protected posts.
E-mail me a request if you are interested in reading further (read the first to chapters to decide if you are interested.)
The post with Chapter 9 will go up immediately after this one. As I said, it’s password protected.
Please, don’t just ask for a password just to make me feel good. Unless you intend to read it, don’t ask. I will not feel hurt, I will not cry myself to sleep, I will not hate anyone who chooses not to read my effort. I will, however, get a little miffed if I get asked for passwords by a bunch of people and then only my usual four or five readers actually read the stuff.
In this section, I add a nice experience I had with Topaz Plugins. There are two things I like about Topaz. One, they have free upgrades for life to the plugins you buy. Second, they are very easy to use (single clicks). Yes, you can tweak the presets, but most of them are fine as they are.
Anyway, yesterday I wanted to take advantage of an introductory offer on their Texture Effects plugin. It’s on sale through tomorrow for $49.99. I had missed the introduction of two previous plugins (Impressions, currently $99.99, and Glow, currently $69.99) and wanted to catch this offer before it expired.
As I was checking out, I got a notice that I can complete my collection of all 17 plugins for $99. Let me see . . . I needed three that individually would have cost me $220. It seemed too good to be true, which is why I wrote them asking if I was misreading the offer. I wasn’t.
So . . . here is yet another photo from Martha’s Vineyard . . . and some variations with my new plugins.
That’s it . . . back to writing.
The full-size photos are in the SmugMug gallery HERE. That gallery will eventually contain all of the photos I use for my NNWM-2K15 update posts.
That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

Please, if you are considering bestowing me recognition beyond commenting below, refrain from doing so. I will decline blogger-to-blogger awards. I appreciate the intent behind it, but I prefer a comment thanking me for turning you away from a life of crime, religion, or making you a better person in some other way. That would mean something to me.
