Some of my readers, probably very few, might have noticed a drop in output.
‘Been busy. Plus, you know, fell into discussing violence, guns, and stuff. Won’t happen again. The discussing part. I linked enough stuff to keep an interested person busy for a good while (plus more links in the comments).
It gets worse . . .
. . . for the next two weeks or so I’m going to be as a ghost . . . meaning, you won’t see me at all; I will not exist.
Just like the hummers of summer, I will be but a memory, albeit not nearly as pleasant.
I will be as difficult to see as the hummer in this next photo . . .
The thing is, this is my 1,402nd post . . . that’s a lot of posts, Bob. I bet most people have not even seen a tenth of them.
So, if you get withdrawal symptoms from the goodness that is me, go looking for stuff. There’s plenty languishing in these virtual pages eager to entertain, amuse, and even annoy (I’d avoid the latter).
Lots of photos, of course, and sometimes you come across something neat that you might have forgotten or even never seen before.
Who knows; a little exposure, some cultivation, a favorable word-of-mouth or two, and this blog might jump from 20-30 visitors to 21-31 visitors per day.
I plan to engage a bit more in the week before NaNoWriMo (that’s right – probably doing it again this year). Then, unfortunately, I might fall into busy times again.
That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

Please, if you are considering bestowing me recognition beyond commenting below, refrain from doing so. I will decline blogger-to-blogger awards. I appreciate the intent behind it, but I prefer a comment thanking me for turning you away from a life of crime, religion, or making you a better person in some other way. That would mean something to me.

All good except I’m still getting old (good one way, but not another) and still not getting handsome (some people age gracefully while others look like walking zombies with bits falling off here and there). Thanks for asking.

Well, it’s kind of a working break . . . aiming to find out at what level of “suck” I am with my writing.

Thanks. I hope I will have time to snap some photos since I’ve not used my camera much since June.

Love those humming bird pics. Really good. The gun debate was interesting too. Will be sharing it with my hubby this weekend when he gets home. Some interesting perspectives on the table. See you on the flip side.

Thanks, and thanks for the comment. There are some excellent links (non-partisan) both on the posts and in the comments. And again, I still think the stuff from Harris covers a lot of the arguments and is very close to my views.

I noticed, but figured you were just busy with life. And I hoped it was a good-busy! 🙂
I often think people think I’m pesty when I show up on their blogsite and say “Where have you been? You okay? You haven’t blogged much lately.” ETC.
Ooh, so are you going to that writing “conference”-thingee?! Or are you gonna’ be holed away in a cave doing some serious, deliberate writings and drawings?!
Enjoy your writing time! But, know that I will miss you.
Thanks for the great hummingbird photos!
And, well, yes, okay, I WILL be back to pest you while you are not posting! 😀
HUGS!!! 🙂

It’s the workshop . . . and pester away; it might motivate me to put down my snack and be productive.

PS…I clicked on the leafy photo found the hummer on the right hand side of the pic! Great pic! 🙂

Something accomplished for the day. Have a glass of wine as a reward.
The original photo is larger; I cropped that down to limit the search area, but still, not exactly easy to spot.

I had to enlarge it to find the little hummer. 🙂

That sounds vaguely suggestive . . .

Hummers are always appreciated (since I’ve not seen one live in a few years), but that flower pot shot has the essence of beauty, warmth and serenity. I’m going to leave it on my screen for a while . . .
P.S. One final Buon Viaggio!

Thanks, I think. . . that sounds vaguely funereal . . .

Then let me rephrase that, “Again, have a good trip!”. The essence of the picture is what you have waiting for you when you get back home.
