NaNoWriMo No. 2 – Chapter 33 pre-post

I overestimated the number of people reading this novel . . . prior to me leaving for December, the number of people reading had dropped down to . . . drumroll . . . two! The last six chapters published in November had a total readership of two.

Chapters 25 had a readership of four, but the previous three chapters . . . two.

For them (and for me – I make the third reader), I continue, but there is little point to keeping to a publication schedule. I’ll put them up new chapters as soon as they are ready.

Chapter 33 will go live in a password-protected post, shortly after this post.

Here’s my progress so far:

Chapter 32 got me to 59,150 words. Chapter 33 will take me to 61,204.

Here’s my usual ending, disclaimers, and stuff for these posts.

For them interested in using my spreadsheet, a previous post explains it and provides links for getting either a copy of the Google Docs version, or downloading the Excel Spreadsheet version. That post isHERE.

Anyone wanting to read the novel, please shoot me an e-mail requesting the password, or leave a comment below to that effect.

As a point of information, asking for the password does not mean I will subscribe, or even read, your blog. It just means you get the password. Perhaps I might get curious and check you out, perhaps not.

Please don’t ask for the password unless you have genuine interest. You can gauge your interest by reading the first few chapters (HERE and HERE) which are not password protected.

There is a precis in the Chapter 32 Pre-Post, so I’m not including it here.

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

Note: if you are not reading this blog post at, know that it has been copied without permission, and likely is being used by someone with nefarious intention, like attracting you to a malware-infested website.  Could be they also torture small mammals.

Please, if you are considering bestowing me recognition beyond commenting below, refrain from doing so.  I will decline blogger-to-blogger awards.   I appreciate the intent behind it, but I prefer a comment thanking me for turning you away from a life of crime, religion, or making you a better person in some other way.  That would mean something to me.

  1. Then all I can say is that people are missing a good read. No worries about a schedule, I just enjoy the read and would like see where it goes.

    Count me in!!!

P.S. Surely you must remember back in Italy when all the kids in my class got the mumps and the school closed for a week but I was not sick. When we all returned to school and THEN I got the mumps . . . school was closed again for a while. The doctor told mother “Sua figlia e a scoppio ritardato!” That applies to my reading of your novel.
