NaNoWriMo No. 2 – Chapter 28 pre-post

This chapter encompasses my NaNoWriMo writing for the 24th and 25th of November.

Sometimes during the evening of the 24th, I crossed the arbitrary NaNoWriMo finish line of 50,000 words . . . unfortunately, the novel is not finished.

Not sure how much more I will have, but I’ll keep going.

As I did not register for NaNoWriMo, I don’t get a prize, plaque, gif image certificate, or any accolades . . . and that’s how it should be. I did this to show myself that I could do it.

It also shows me that if I wanted to, I could write between four and six novels a year. Now, if only there was a demand for them . . .

Anyway . . .

Chapter 28 will go live tomorrow morning in a password-protected post.

Here’s my progress so far (I might write some more later this evening):

Nov24-25chart

I wrote 2,815 words in the last two days, which gives me a cumulative total of 51,141 words.

It should now be more than obvious I am going to blow through the 50K mark, especially since I have.

It should be just as obvious I plan to keep going and finish this puppy.

Not being a member of the NaNoWriMo community (I did not register), I can damn well do as I please.

There is one caveat . . . we will be traveling in early December (very early December), and as the date draws near, other things are going to press me for time.

The plan is to put this to bed before I leave. Should I not be able to do so, know that where we are going I will have limited internet access and usage. I will do my best to be timely, but there is a chance, if I don’t finish before we leave, it will have to wait until I come back . . . what will seem a long wait for some.

As I said, I’ll try to finish this week, but wanted to give people fair warning.

Here’s my usual ending to these posts.

For them interested in using my spreadsheet, a previous post explains it and provides links for getting either a copy of the Google Docs version, or downloading the Excel Spreadsheet version. That post is HERE.

Anyone wanting to read the novel, please shoot me an e-mail requesting the password, or leave a comment below to that effect.

As a point of information, asking for the password does not mean I will subscribe, or even read, your blog. It just means you get the password. Perhaps I might get curious and check you out, perhaps not.

One other thing.

Last year I did a precis . . . I know some people like the precis. I did it last year because I stopped writing for a few months, and then I was not writing regularly.

This puppy is going to be finished before the end of the month. I won’t have time to write a precis, and the timeframe is short enough to perhaps make its absence irrelevant. If not . . . sorry.

That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

I know you could write those four to six novels a year, and I wish you would. Reminds me of Field of Dreams . . . if you write them, the readers will come . . .
