    I like to see monochrome images of flowers, especially colorful flowers. It’s not that I dont appreciate their color and beauty in nature, but as a work of art they are less “gaudy” when you frame them and hang them on the wall.

      I think there is an expectation to art not being overstated, plus monochromatic paintings are an easier match to particular decors. However, I tend to like bold colors for large prints; if one is to make a visual impact, larger sizes go with boldness.

      That said, I particularly like the Bluebeard Bush flower (dead flower), and as it’s already mostly monochromatic, it’s not a stretch to push it so.
