Continuing with The Macro Files series, more Shells.
Most shells have few colors on them, and if they do, they tend to run along the lines of brown, beige, tan, off-white, or similar, and they tend to be single or dual colors . . . like this next shell.
Not so these next shells . . . these are three separate shells, grouped together because of their striking colors.
Now, the colors are OK as they are . . . but what kind of host would I be if I did not show things that could be done . . .
I should mention that the translucency of the shells make it difficult to get a good focus on the texture. I presume that with the right light source and set-up I would be able to do that . . . but these were shot kind of quick, and using natural light from a nearby window.
I also think I could have done better had I processed them in DxO . . . maybe next time.
All photos I post in The Macro Files also reside in the SmugMug Category “Macros” under the appropriate gallery, in this case, Shells.
That’s it. This post has ended . . . except for the stuff below.

Please, if you are considering bestowing me recognition beyond commenting below, refrain from doing so. I will decline blogger-to-blogger awards. I appreciate the intent behind it, but I prefer a comment thanking me for turning you away from a life of crime, religion, or making you a better person in some other way. That would mean something to me.
