Disperser’s St. Patrick’s Day 2014

I . . . am not Irish. Still, the day is a convenient excuse to eat with a little bit of style.

These were shot quickly with my Samsung Note II . . . because I did not want to delay eating.

The set-up . . .

The set-up . . .

The savory dishes - mini salmon cakes, asparagus, quiche.

Sweet dish no. 1 - scones with sides

Unfortunately, the scone was eaten before I remembered to take a picture, as was the first slice of cheesecake . . . but I remembered for the second slice.

My dish - part 3b (I missed part 2 and part 3)

No beer . . . we had tea and water.

Some may correctly bitc . . . er . . . complain that the food is not Irish. Hey! . . . the tea set has an Irish motif.

. . . you’re lucky I didn’t have pasta in a plain white bowl!

Hope you, my readers (other than the one commenting about the food), had a great St. Patrick Day celebration (if you can still read this).

Looks very nice. And civilized. We had the traditional corned beef and cabbage and potatoes. It doesn’t et any more Irish than that. No, I’m not Irish but I know someone who is.

The set-up had enough of an Irish flair even if the food didn’t so I think that counts for honoring the day. Knowing Melisa’s talent in the kitchen, I know the food must have tasted as good as it looks. Lucky you!

Mmmm Everything looks delicious. And beautifully presented, as usual! Thank you for sharing…any scones left?

I’m even worse than you, I had Chicken Garam Masala and Punjabi Rice. But I did have Irish beer, I hope that counts for something. And the dogs have worn green scarfs around their necks all day. Beautiful pictures Emilio, really beautiful
