It’s been a busy time

This is a general notice to many of the bloggers I follow . . . Between NaNoWriMo, painting, and travel, I’ve fallen good and truly behind not only in posting stuff, but reading stuff.

I did get notices of new blog posts, and if I had a few minutes, I’ve look at a few, but the vast majority were left for “later”.

I’m here to tell you something profound and life-changing.

. . . Later never comes . . .

No, no . . . no need to thank me. As it happens, I have tremendous stores of wisdom, and sharing a bit of it will hardly make a dent in my personal stash.

Where was I? Oh, yeah . . . As I sit here waiting for the plane to begin boarding, I am struck with a revelation about the likelihood of me actually reading all the posts I missed.

Mind you, I want to. The blogs I follow, I do so for a simple reason. They are of interest to me.

But I must also be a realist, and I want to do justice to them. Rather than barely glancing at all the old posts, I rather give new posts the attention they deserve.

There is a chance that, as I clear my old emails, something catches my eye, and I read a few posts here or there, but the majority will remain unread.

But, fear not!

. . . I also don’t expect you to read my amazing contributions to humanity, and indeed, to posterity.

No, no . . . No need to thank me; it’s the last I can do. The very least, in fact.

Please, if you are considering bestowing me some recognition beyond commenting below, refrain from doing so.  I will decline nominations whereby one blogger bestows an award onto another blogger, or group of bloggers.   I appreciate the intent behind it, but I would much prefer a comment thanking me for turning you away from a life of crime, religion, or making you a better person in some other way.  That would actually mean something to me.

Should you still nominate me, I will strongly suspect you pulled my name at random, and that you are not, in fact, a reader of my blog.  If you wish to know more, please read below.

About awards: Blogger Awards          About “likes”:   Of “Likes”, Subscriptions, and Stuff

Note: to those who may click on “like”, or rate the post; if you do not personally hear from me, know that I am sincerely appreciative, and I thank you for noticing what I do.

    1. My anal-retentive-semi-OCD personality is making it difficult to do so. I find myself going back to read stuff.

Although I do pass on some things that don’t immediately catch my interest.

  1. Hello! Hope your flight was ok. And thanks so much for reading my posts with such attention. I mean it and it makes me happy to read that you follow a blog because you’re really interested. Happy Friday 🙂

    1. Came back with a sore throat and feeling as if I have been pummeled by angry, noisy, unruly kids . . .

      . . . it’s not helping that it’s -14deg (F) outside, but glad to be back home.

As for your blog, you provide lots of information in a topic I did not know I was interested in until I read about it. Well, that’s not true; I like architecture, but it’s nice to get some background on it, and to have interesting sites pointed out to me that I did not know about beforehand.

    1. Still not caught up with everything I want to read . . . luckily, I’m sick and can’t sleep, so I have some time . . . unluckily, I have a higher threshold for what I consider interesting. I’m blowing right by some posts.

  2. You mean you think there are some people who don’t read every word you write, breathless with anticipation for your next utterances?

  3. You know, your blog is a breath of fresh air, a lighthearted reality check when I might find myself getting bogged down in the ‘I’m so behind with commenting’ swamp. That’s why I come back. Don’t change.
