Honest, this will make me commit to both reading more, and writing more.

The video is available for a short time only (don’t know what that means), so don’t wait to watch it. Beautifully done.

The Fantastic Flying books of Mr. Morris Lessmore

This is an extraordinary video. It’s an Oscar-nominated short film for book lovers and those who have ever been captured by the magic of books. I sort of wish I was Mr. Morris Lessmore.

What an enjoyable and well-made film! Amazed at the number of people who worked on it.

I’ve set time aside for reading more than I have been because of it.

I recently gave away three boxes of books and I’m not ashamed to say that it was a very emotional farewell (on my part, at least). I’ve always loved books and my favorite shopping is still at a bookstore. I’ve been considering getting a Kindle or Nook but that’s still far off since the feel and smell of a book is both comforting and familiar as an old friend. And that’s something I’m not prepared to let go.

I agree . . . I have friends with both, and I don’t particularly like the experience. I get the attraction of carrying your whole library with you (much like I have FireFly loaded on my iTouch), but the experience of reading for me is still tied to the turning of the pages.

I just bought the Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones), and the first book of the Dresden Files, and one of my goals is to read all the books that have slowly accumulated in my to-read pile. I give myself a few years because there are that many, plus I’ll probably add more as I go.

By the way, I would suggest you follow, or at least check out Sharon’s blog.

Thanks. I just took a peek in there and will surely return.
