Free Wallpapers – Long Time No See

It’s been a while (two years?) since I’ve added to the free screen wallpaper galleries, so here are three additions.  The galleries can be found at this link:

These days there is little interest in screen wallpapers, and least of all my wallpapers, but since I started it, I’ll maintain it.  I figure that is a cheap way to add a post on days when I am too busy.

The first picture is from September 2010, and our color tour near Lake City, Colorado.  It’s the overview of Lake San Cristobal, with the aspens near full color.  If one wants to read more about it, click HERE for the original post.

The next picture is from our 2011 Thanksgiving trip to San Leon, TX.  This is the sunrise from the morning after we got there.

Additional pictures and commentary can be found in this post.

The final picture is of a Snowy Egret landing on rocks on the shore of the Galveston Island waterfront.  Additional pictures and commentary can be found in this post.

One note about the Egret picture at the 2560×1600 screen size (my screen size).  It’s a crop of a larger photo, and the crop is then enlarged 200%.  The quality is not as good as I like, but I really like the picture.

There are three albums within the SmugMug gallery, one each for the indicated screen size.  Chose the size which most closely matches your screen resolution.  When you hover over the large picture preview a sub-menu slides in from the right.  There is a small folder icon you can click to save the file to your PC.

You can also right-click on the picture displayed (Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, Original), and choose “Save Image” to get that particular size.

Images may be shared under these conditions: attribution is given, no commercial applications, no alterations. (

Note: to those who may click on “like”, or rate the post; if you do not personally hear from me, know that I am sincerely appreciative, and I thank you for noticing what I do.
