One of the things people do when visiting a West-facing shoreline is gather near the water’s edge as the sun prepares to set.
Such was the case during our recent stay at Casa de Emdeko, in Kona, Hawaii. Come sunset time people gathered at the sea wall, and in hushed tones exchanged conversation as everyone watched the sun slowly descend to the horizon.
On this particular evening one of the tour boats made a run to pass just under the setting sun. I thought it made a great photograph, and one I like to share.
